With January-June electronics exports down 18.54% from a year earlier, SEIPI President Dan C. Lachica told BusinessWorld: “Yes, we will maintain target at 5%. We still expect a pick up in electronics exports in the latter half...”.

First half sales totalled $10.076 billion, down from $12.369 billion in the comparable 2012 period. Electronics -- the country’s top export -- ended last year down 5.2% to $22.556 billion on the back of weak demand.
