Grant will help fund electronics education facility

The state of Alabama will provide a grant to assist with the construction of a permanent facility to teach electrical and electronic training. 

Governor Robert Bentley says $50,000 will help upgrade the program currently offered at Bevill State Community College's Fayette campus. 

The school is currently building a permanent facility for the program and the Appalachian Regional Commission will provide funding to purchase advanced training equipment.

Bentley says the program will eventually be expanded to include high school students.
